How does OCvoice work?+
OCvoice captures your pastor's speech in real time using AI speech recognition. Each sentence is translated into your chosen languages with theological precision, and delivered as subtitles and audio to listeners' phones — all within seconds. No app install needed — listeners just scan a QR code.
What languages are supported?+
OCvoice supports 60 languages, including Arabic, Farsi, Ukrainian, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, French, German, Polish, Turkish, and many more. This includes right-to-left languages like Arabic, Farsi, Hebrew, and Urdu with proper RTL layout.
Do members need to install an app?+
No. OCvoice works as a mobile website. Congregants scan a QR code or visit your church's URL (e.g., ocvoice.dk/your-church), pick their language, and start listening. It works on any phone, tablet, or computer — iPhone, Android, anything with a browser.
How accurate is the translation for preaching and church language?+
OCvoice uses AI translation that is purpose-built and fine-tuned for church language. The translation engine understands theological context, ensuring that terms like 'grace', 'Holy Spirit', 'salvation', and liturgical expressions are translated with precision — not with generic dictionary translations. The precision is customizable per denomination.
How much does it cost?+
OCvoice uses transparent pay-as-you-go pricing with no subscriptions, no contracts, and no feature gates. Every church gets every feature. Can we replace our FM receiver system?+
Yes. Many churches use OCvoice to replace expensive FM receiver systems. Benefits: zero hardware cost, unlimited languages (not just 1-2), subtitles + audio, and listeners use their own phones and AirPods. OCvoice can also output audio feeds to existing wired headphone systems if you want to keep using them.
Does it work with AirPods and headphones?+
Yes. Listeners can use any Bluetooth headphones, AirPods, wired earbuds, or just their phone speaker. The audio plays directly from the browser — no app needed.
Is our congregation's data private?+
Yes. OCvoice is built by OCplan ApS, a Danish company subject to EU GDPR regulations. Sermon audio is processed in real time and not stored permanently. Translations are stored for session duration only. No personal data from listeners is collected — they don't even need to create an account.
What happens if the internet goes down?+
OCvoice requires an internet connection to process speech and translations in real time. If connectivity is briefly interrupted, the system reconnects automatically when the connection is restored. We recommend a stable Wi-Fi or wired connection for the broadcaster device.
Can multiple languages run simultaneously?+
Yes. OCvoice can translate into all 60 supported languages simultaneously. Each listener picks their own language. There's no limit to how many languages you can run at once, and you only pay for languages that have active listeners.
Can we use it for events outside church?+
OCvoice is currently optimized for churches and worship services, with theological precision as the priority. We are expanding to support conferences, events, and other domains with domain-specific precision packs. Contact us if you're interested in using it for other events.
